I tested with power outage. I put battery on it and plugged with two lamps with LED bulbs (4 watts each). They are bright enough. The worked good. I tested with other inverter for LED 60 watt bulb (7 watts each) in kitchen. It looks bright enough, too. In the future, I will use it for modem, Wi-Fi router, and routers. We use iPads and iPhones to continue wireless when power outages. Also, we will use inverters for camping in th future.

I found this device to be ideal for my particular use case, however, as I will explain in this review, there is more to the product than originally explained. It states that the inverter can produce 220W of AC power with a surge of 250W. I have not found it to support a 250W surge, however, in my tests it has outputted a maximum of 227W. With that said, there is one very important additional thing to note. It can only produce a surge of 80W at a time. For example, it can power 3 75W lightbulbs. However, in order to do so, they must be plugged in one at a time. If you try to plug something in that will pull more than 80W at once, such as a 100W light bulb, it will trip. So in order to run 3 75W lightbulbs, you must plug them in one at a time so the total power draw only increases by 75W at a time. Overall very good quality product, however will not run anything that needs more than 80W at once / at startup.

This will be a nice inverter for small jobs. You will need a 4ah battery or higher for it to operate.

I purchased this because at my job I have to test electronics. It worked fine the first day then wouldn’t function at all. I found that the little pins I the socket bent. I fixed this. Then a day after that the unit won’t function saying everything is overloading. The same things I was testing the first day. In my opinion absolute garbage. Do not buy.

BRING YOUR OWN BATTERYThe device is not "made by DeWalt" however, it works very well for low powered portable devices and fit a DeWalt battery perfectly.

This inverter works as described & is wonderful when you’re lacking power. Now I make a pot of coffee out in the bush, because with this… you can!
