I tried to use on a 6 lug hub hits center. can't use. tried on 5 lug same hits centering ring on hub. its too big around.

This tool worked perfectly, for my needs (installing a stud in a trailer axle). I’ve always just used some washers and a standard nut to install wheel studs, but figured I’d give this a try. I’m happy with it, and the job was quick and easy. The only thing to note, is the included nuts were useless for my needs. My trailers have 1/2-20 studs, and the included nuts do not fit. It wasn’t a big deal, and I just used a standard lug nut for installation. It worked perfectly with this tool.Bottom line:Is this tool necessary for installing wheel studs? No.Does it make it slightly easier? Yes.

The 14mm lug nut failed on the 3rd stud attempting to install. It ruined the lug nut and the stud. The lug nut is made of an extremely soft metal and deformed on the lug and ruined it.
