This paint shield is an amazing tool. It cuts so much time when painting and wallpapering. It was almost twice the size I saw in stores for less cost. It has not rusted and is extremely stiff and durable. I think it will last many years. I would highly recommend this tool.

Seems well made and durable. I'd prefer a beveled edge for a more defined line, though.... but I understand them not wanting to make a sharp weapon out of this tool where it would be easy to be injured from it.Serves the purpose just fine, however.

Pretty solid materials in a paint shield. Used it a handful of times thinking it will cut time in having to mask areas off with tape, but either I still don't have the technique down or it's just result of the shield which isn't perfect in protecting paint from unwanted areas. I'd wipe it down frequently, applied paint lightly, held it at varying angles and used it only when it aligned with a straight edge and I'still wouldn't get a straight edge. Again, maybe it's just my technique but I've resorted to taking the time to tape and I'd get better results from that.

Not worth it. It bends and makes more of a mess than prevents it. If you're serious about straight lines and don't want to prep with tape, go with an Edger.

I mean, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say I just need more practice, but it isn't great for cutting in. If you have perfectly smooth walls maybe... But with old lathe and plaster walls with a naturally uneven texture, there's really no way to use this without paint coming in under the shield. Save the money and just spend the time cutting in yourself or taping.
