As a frequent user of Anderson Powerpole connectors, I'm always on the lookout for high-quality alternatives at a good value. This 240-piece assortment kit has proven to be a great option, offering a wide range of connectors for various applications.The convenience of genderless connectors cannot be overstated, and these are fully compatible with Anderson Powerpole products. While I did notice a slight color variation in the terminals compared to the Anderson originals, they seem to be of comparable quality. The product description mentions silver-coated copper contacts, which is consistent with Anderson's design, but I'm not able to confirm the coating's presence.One minor issue I encountered was with the largest (10 AWG) connectors. The wings tend to open a bit too far, requiring me to pinch them together slightly for proper crimping. Speaking of crimping, I highly recommend investing in a dedicated Powerpole crimper for optimal results. I haven't experimented with other crimper types.This kit's versatility is a major advantage. With the ability to create connectors for a range of wire sizes (15A, 30A, and 45A), it's ideal for various projects. I've added these connectors to chargers, adapters, and other devices, expanding my collection of connection options.A helpful tip: If you need to lock individual connectors together, you can use 14 AWG solid wire as a substitute for Anderson's locking pins.A word of caution: I'm not comfortable putting more than 25 amps continuous through Powerpole connectors. I've found that the connectors can get a bit warm at higher currents. For higher current applications, I recommend considering the SB-50 connectors instead.Overall, this Powerpole connector assortment kit is a valuable addition to any DIYer's or professional's toolkit. The quality is good, the price is reasonable, and the versatility is unmatched.
