Arrived as scheduled and was a perfect fit and match. Fixed my problem of no cold air to the refrigerator (no issue with the freezer). The installation took roughly 40 minutes and that included removing the contents from the top shelf. The fridge works like a champ! Would buy again and recommend.

I purchased the product for a close companion because his refrigerator was no longer cooling as it should. The product arrived on schedule and the technician installed the product just to see if that was the issue. The product fit perfectly. After about 24 hours, the refrigerator was still not cooling. This is when it was discovered that the refrigerator had to be replaced.

This part was an exact fit for the original Easy to install into the damper control and thermostat housing.NOTE: Defrost freezer when you install the damper. My freezer was clogged with ice and did not start to cool the refrigerator until defrosted.

So, knowing that this component is going to fail, you should plan ahead as, wherever you live, because you're going to have to order it, either for yourself or for somebody else to do the work for you. Of course, there's always the remote possibility that this part will work perfectly forever... and just because it's failed on all three of my Frigidaire side by side refrigerator/freezer units within five years of purchase ...; that is absolutely no reason to believe that the same event will happen to you. (No, of course it won't, because your refrigeration will work perfectly for the next 25 years and I just had an incredible run of bad luck) (Yeah, right) So, if you're not incredibly stupid, then you've probably figured out that you're going to need this part...; and I recommend that you NOT PURCHASE an OEM Frigidaire part but instead, purchase the part from an "after-market" manufacturer who really wants to make a part that is going to last. (That means almost anyone except Frigidaire) Like this one...
