You really can't go wrong with this style of a caliper piston compressor. I will always reach for this before the other styles like the ratcheting compressors. This is simple, and by far the fastest way to go as long as it works for your cars calipers. Most cars will work with this style.

Great tool for compressing brake caliper pistons. It is easy to use and makes quick work of compressing brake caliper pistons. Much better than using big bulky C-clamp.

This little tool is super handy and works way better and faster than a C-clamp or whatever other cob you've been using. Well worth the money.

No more pulling out the giant c-clamp!!! There's enough hand leverage there to slowly push in a piston; that is, for single piston calipers. For ones with two pistons (on the same side) you'd use a pad to get leverage. Won't work for 4 piston calipers of course but works great on single piston calipers. I have several vehicles and this will make it a breeze instead of trying to wrestle a big c-clamp in there to back the pistons off. Works in a similar principle to a caulking gun; as you squeeze, the rod moves. There's a lever at the back to release it so you can pull it back. If you do your own brakes (and you have disc brakes of course) this will really make it easier!

I have done my own brakes, and many other peoples as well. I have always used a C-clamp to compress the caliper. This has always taken a bit of talent, luck and sometimes a third hand, all of which i have little or none of. This compressor has made the job so much more efficient and much much less frustrating. The tool is built much better than I expected. The components of the tool are made of steel and are made to last, nice and hefty with lots of reinforcement. It feels very substantial in your hand and the handle is big enough to easily apply the necessary torque to get the job done without needing a giant hand. The alignment plate sits nicely in the caliper and the working end compresses enough to fit in most calipers. The coating is nice as it is easy to clean and take care of. I no longer need to have three hands as this does exactly what I need it to do. I have been doing brakes the hard way for so long this almost feels like cheating. I would recommend this tool to anyone that wants to do their own brakes and not have to be super human to do it. Great product and nice looking to boot.
