Not as thick as I expected, but it's quite durable and did provide a softer footing under the pool lining. It's been installed for a few months. I left a foot of the pad exposed all the way round the pool and it works great to keep grass and weeds from growing around the pool edges. I covered the overlap with rubber mulch and bordered it with paving stones. Looks great!

Very easy to work with cut perfectly and very smooth, I have read some other reviews in which the writers were not happy because it was to thin. However, the material is meant to stop anything, such as a rock or root, from coming up from the bottom under the pool's liner and punching a hole in the pool's fool, for this the type of material and size is perfect. It is not meant to be a cushion and it does appear thin; because, it is thin; however, it is not the thickness but rather, the material which is relevant in stopping the pool fool from being punched. If you want a thick cushion or if you believe that only a thick pad will work, than honestly this is not for you. However, if you do understand that it is the type and quality of the material that stops and future damage form occurring then but thus one.

It is as described but thin, similar to felt. Nowhere near as thick as the photo makes it appear.

It was advertised as being 1/8" thick. It is not. It's about 2mm thick. We bought 2 to ensure a nice soft padding under our above ground pool. Even with the 2 pads together, you can still feel every little bump. However it is a very dense felt material and the pool hasn't ripped yet.

There seems to be a mystery about what this product really is. It’s been called “Soft, cushioning, thick, felt-like, padding…â€. It is simply a cut-to-size, nicely seamed piece of extra thick landscape fabric. The fabric is marked with which side to put down so that the seam is less intrusive. It is convenient to use, and I feel that it will keep weeds from coming through. I laid it all the way to the fence where I have plants and used it for landscape fabric around those plants. It was difficult to put metal pins in it to hold it down. That’s how tough it is!I can’t say how this is compared to other pool pads, but I like it and I’m glad I bought it.

I replaced the 24' liner by myself. I don't recommend that, lol. The mat was easy to lay down and fit well. after the job was done, I felt like it gives a little more protection for the liner especially when you have 11 grandkids jumping in all summer. I think is a good thing to use since none of us want to change the liner because of holes.
