I bought this for our Webber charcoal grill. Protected the wood picnic table when the BBQ was set up on top of it. The spilled BBQ sauce cleaned off easily.

I originally bought this mat for my portable stove for camping and it didn't burn under heat the table that we had that was the regular picnic table that you would buy was protected. I love this so much that I bought this to put under my slow cooker that's on top of my microwave to protect my microwave and it worked. If I ever need it to have something or a surface protected I would definitely get this mat again.

You do need it or ambers fall out and on our table outside has wholes so the ambers could fall on our dogs backs.
