The small size makes it unobtrusive even in a small aquarium. The thermostat is easy to set and holds a very consistent temperature. I do find that the display is about 1 degree off from the actual temperature, so I recommend using a separate thermometer to monitor the temperature in your aquarium. But once you identify the correct setting the temperature stays very steady.

This is the 4th one of these heaters I have purchased. I have one in a 20 gallon long of red rili shrimp, a 2nd in a 10 gallon of blue dream shrimp, a 3rd in a 5 gallon betta tank, and I bought this one for one for a new 20 gallon long I'm working on.They take up very little space in the tank, which is aesthetically pleasing. They are quite short, so I am able to do a water change without the hassle of unplugging your heater which is great. They are simple to program and the digital temperature is the greatest. I love that I can just glance at the tank and see that it is right where I want it. No trying to decifer a little thermometer or looking for one that's floated away. No need for one in my tank at all! They work great, keeping the tank within less than 2° of where I set them.I plan to upgrade my other tanks to these as well!

Well I bought this almost a year ago now but the bad thing is I only used it for a couple months last winter and then I unplugged it because it's warm where we live at went to plug it back up because it's getting cold and it just keeps showing E1 which I'm taking is error one so right now I'm not very happy. UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE I would like to say that this seller reached out to me and replaced my heater I'm beyond thrilled I love good customer service cuz that's the way it should be and this company made everything right so you can trust this company buy what you want to buy buy it with ease knowing that they will stand behind you 100%. Thank you very much

After reading many reviews on Amazon for different heaters and being sufficiently scared that I was going to cook my fish, I took the chance and bought this heater. I’ve been using it for over a month and it’s been working as designed. It’s small and fits perfectly in my 5 gallon tank (you can barely see it behind the floating log in the picture I posted). The temp holds steady and as promised, the thermostat reads “error†almost instantly if it is taken out of the water.

I dont even want to rate this but... i bought this March 20 2024 and April 29 2024 it almost cooked my fish. During the time I had it, it worked as advertised. Temperature was great always stayed at 77F i was happy with it. Then on the morning of April 29 my fish were acting weird. I felt the water is as warm as bathwater. I looked at the heater and it said ER I shut it off and turn it back on. It said 94.6 Fahrenheit. I used cold/frozen bottles of water to slowly bring down the temperature and I have not recorded any deaths. I will never buy anything that is not name brand again and I will be using a heater/thermometer controller from now on.

I haven't experienced Full use as to any adjustments needed. So far with 1 week prepping tank it's maintained at 76. This is a winner so far as I can tell.

First I ordered the 100 watt model for a 5 gallon tank. It worked so well that I ordered the 150 watt model for a 20 gallon tank. Both seem to be keeping each tank at the set temperature rather easily. Setting the desired temp is simple, you just press the button to increment 1 degree until you reach the desired temp. The light will turn red when it is running, and it will turn green once the desired temp is reached.Tip: With this style of heater, the thermostat is usually at the top of the unit. This means that positioning it vertically might result in less accurate temperature readings (since the heat from the heater rises directly into the thermostat and then the heater turns off prematurely). For this reason, you can get better performance by tilting the thermometer to the side like in the picture that I attached. I tested it both ways by measuring the temperate of the tank at the point farthest from the heater. When the heater was positioned vertically, the side of the tank without the heater was about 3 degrees lower than the side with the heater. When tilted, the side without the heater was only about 1 degree lower.
