I've never seen white 8-1/2 x 11 mailing envelopes so I was intrigued. They're almost the same as the standard brown ones, except they're a little thinner, which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. Aside from that they're fine and I would recommend them to anyone who needs this size of envelope.

These envelopes are thick cardboard, which allows you to mail anything flat safely. They seal well so you can mail your items with confidence.

A nice envelope. I like having this size on hand for filing things in my home office as well as sometimes needing a 9x12 envelope for mailing. It is sturdy. I love that it has a self-stick seal, definitely a plus rather than the old prong type closure or (ick) actually licking the envelope. And getting 27 envelopes will keep me in envelopes for a good while.

I bought these envelopes to use for a specific activity in my preschool classroom, but they turned out to be flimsy, very thin material, not sturdy enough for what I planned on using them for. I purposely looked for envelopes that did NOT have sticker seals and I thought I looked closely at the pictures for this product (and the item description), but I was mistaken. These envelopes did not have a clasp seal as I had thought. I'll use them for something else, but I was disappointed I couldn't use them for what I intended to use them for.

These envelopes are great for mailing flat items. They are heavy enough to mail with confidence, The self-seals are good. They stick and stay that way. These are working well for the intended use. Good deal.

This is the size envelope you don't think you need to keep on hand, but when you have some there are so many uses. Mailing stuff, sure; also right for filing paperwork like tax return copies or other important documents. I also use these to accumulate documents when I'm planning a trip.Decent thickness, opaque. The self-seal strip is better than the old-school metal brad closure. I also prefer the white paper vs. the yellow you normally see on this type of mailing envelope.
