Not sure if its due to hard water issues, or something else entirely but my water bottles always seem to get this dark brown spot in the mouth piece. Rather than replacing the entire thing every few months is a much easier solution.

I double filter my water with the pitcher and the water bottle. The filter has no holes like so many others have said and with that said the water quality was terrible. Something in that “filter†made the water taste worse than if it was straight from the tap. Also, even with the double filtering it tasted off which was not a taste I got with my last water bottle filter. Pls stay away from this brand. Who knows what’s in this.

I use my Brita water bottle around my job. It's an industrial job so there is dirt and debris. With the original mouth piece I noticed a little discoloration even after washing every part except the filter as instructions read. I purchased this set of replacement filters and I am beyond happy that it included the mouth piece and a spare. Definitely wasn't aware that online had a good amount of people talking about the same problem with discoloration or as they claimed MOLD. I am glad that I got this combo and to me the quality is there but if you are set on absolute top quality search out the more expensive Brita branded filters. Not sure if they make the replacement mouth piece and at what price? Would recommend

I was grossed out at how yellow and dirty the mouthpiece was even though I wash it regularly and clean the inside of it with a brush. This mouthpiece is a perfect fit for my Brita water bottle. I will definitely purchase it again 😉!

My son absolutely loves his Brita reusable water bottles, and they are in great shape, but when I saw these spare part mouthpieces I had to add to my cart. Highly recommend.
