When you own a working farm, that old saying, 'good fences make good neighbors' is even more critical and true.This electric fence charger accomplishes that, with no problems in efficiency. I would purchase this model again if we need additional fencing.

This electric fence box is too weak to do any good. I would rate it as junk.

The electric fence charger unit is built well .It is made of heavy duty components and includes a spool of cable. The directions are excellent.I did not use it as a fence charger, I used it to protect my bird feeder from the depredation of a pair of racoons. The feeder is one of the type with a built in wi fi camera. I tried everything including multiple baffles on the pole. Squirrels are bad enough but raccoons are tough. I used the fence charger to electrify the pole. The raccoons would not be harmed, I tested the shock on myself, it was uncomfortable but not harmful. It worked! The racoons no longer steal the feed from the feeder. Birds cannot be harmed as they aren't grounded. I actually saw birds land on the charged wire without any effect.

Too soon to tell how good this actually is but it seems well made and works great. Will keep the deer and rabbits away from the plants I want to keep them away from. Should finally find success in growing my bamboo fast enough and thick and tall enough for the desired privacy.Good product. Good value.

This is a basic plug-in unit. Since I ordered it to energize a hot wire around the barn area only, I cannot speak to its long distance capabilities.
