I like iced tea. It's my alternative to drinking coffee or sodas. I like to brew the 1 gallon tea bag (cold) so it'll last me a few days. Glass is too heavy so I opted to go plastic. 1 gallon tea bags are pretty big so I needed a container with a big opening. Lots of common size plastic pitchers are half gallons (or smaller) so when I came across this, I figured I should give it a try. Man was I disappointed. Sold in a pack of 2. Upon receiving, 1 of the lids was damaged (partially broken). But I only use 1 so I figured I can store the other one away for when this one is no good any more. Lids are made of very cheap plastic, thin too. Plastic container has handle. Also cheap material, but still better material than lids. Filled up, carrying by handle, it's not very sturdy. I can feel the handle bending, not much, but visible. So I have to hold the bottom with my other hand. Feels like either the handle will break off or the container will get cracked if I set it down at the wrong angle, soon. At ~$10 each, wayyyyyyyyy overpriced. I could get the same quality (if not exact item) from the local dollar/discount store at a fraction of the price. Spend a couple extra dollars and invest in a better quality container.

Two pack of pitchers, but only one of them arrived intact. I'm not sure if this is due to the shipment, due to manufacturing, or due to the delivery. Will update if the other pitcher is also broken. The one with the broken handle would be useful, if not for where the break is and the sharp plastic being a cut-risk.

Our standard Rubbermaid pitchers have gotten a bit on the pricey side. These were ordered because they were the same capacity but appeared to be more cost-effective.They arrived in 2 days which, given the estimated delivery date, was exactly on time.The first thing I noticed was that the handles have just one point of attachment. Compared to the Rubbermaid pitchers which have two points of attachment. This tends to be a weaker, less durable design. Plus, it's a bit more difficult for me to deal with. Additionally, the plastic, along the right edge of the handles, was sharp and required trimming with a sharp knife.Next, the title refers to a flip-top spout. However, the top spins, twists or turns to open and close the spout. Which is easy enough to operate but there's no "flipping" involved. The container has no graduations, by the way.Out of the package, I noticed a slight odor. However, hot, soapy water seems to have handled that. If not, there's always bleach. These are less expensive than our older pitchers have become. I'm uncertain as to whether the savings are justified, however.

The pitcher is great and being dishwasher friendly makes this a goldmine. However, the handle isn't as strong as it should be to hold the weight of the pitchers filled all the way. However the pitcher is great and I still recommend it if you want something that is pretty solid for the most part.

These pitchers held a huge amount of punch for a party. They looked great for what we needed (not fancy at all). The best part? No spills on the pour. Some pitchers are really messy and these are not. Will use them again and again, great value for the money, great size, great overall.
