How long should I charge my two way radio battery?
- As always, it depends on the type of battery. Ni-CAD, Ni-MH and Li-Ion all have different charging methods.
- Generally though, it should only take two hours on a rapid charger and 4-6 hours on a standard charger.
- When using for the first time, it is recommended that you charge overnight, that is, the charging time is about 12 hours. Some specialized chargers take longer, such as charger-conditioners.

What do I do with my old batteries?
You can dispose of any batteries at any RBRC affiliated store. The RBRC (Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation) has members in every major city in the United States. There is no charge to drop your batteries off there. Home Depot and Radio Shack are two of its predominant members.

The generic battery works, somewhat, but does not last a full shift like the Motorola Batteries. The belt clip on the battery is flimsy at best. I will use them for backups and order a Motorola replacement battery.

The batteries sometimes will make you take them out of the charger and reinstall them multiple times to make them charge.

This is a great battery for my work radio which is a Motorola. It's hold almost 12 hours but not quite. I bring my charger with me and a second battery for emergency back up. It fix my motorola radio good with no troubles.

Needed this exact size for our radios and had a hard time finding. Ordered a few and they fit. So far battery has been good charge and recharge life so am going to order more soon

I have just charged two of these batteries and put them in my APX 4000 radio. The worked perfectly in the charger and the radio. I have no idea what the nay people are saying about these batteries. I have had #1 batter in radio for 12 hours and am at 50%. These are a really good deal. and have a 1 year guarantee. My last Motorola lasted 9 months. Our Radio tech. with our PD said it is real. buy two for the price of less than one.

This batteries will not work with the Motorola charger. When you put the battery on the charger all it does is flash red. Just spend the money for the real batteries.
