This product is described as a griddle scraper and that’s exactly what I use it for. Well, I use it for my iron frying pans too.There are two tools in the package: one with a straight blade, the other with a bent-upwards blade. I use only the latter. I like it best for this reason: with the tool’s handle held high enough to clear the pan’s rim, the tool edge is at shallower angle. That’s better for scraping off stuck-on crud without harming my pan’s seasoning layers. The radiused edge corners also help reduce seasoning damage near the sides of the pan.It’s a good tool. Its haft is substantial and its surface is nicely shaped and textured for a good grip. I also use chain mail to clean my iron pans, but this tool is another arrow in my iron pan maintenance quiver.Mine was as dull as a butter knife when I received it. It took me 20 minutes with my bench stones to get it suitably sharp. That’s why I granted only four stars. Even so I recommend the tool.
