I bought these to store my extra hair and body products. They hang on hooks that fit over the bathroom door. Makes it convenient and adds a beach look to the bathroom.

These are a nice size for a string bag of this type. I've been using string bags recently since our local area has mandated that stores add a "bag fee" for plastic or paper grocery bags. However, when I took these out of the plastic wrapper that they came packaged in, they had a strong, unpleasant chemical odor. I've left them out for a few days, and the odor has partially--but not entirely--dissipated. I'm going to wash them and see if that helps. Were it not for the odor, I would have rated these higher because they seem well-constructed.

I love these cotton bags. I'm always looking for an eco-friendly alternative to the plastic reusable shopping bags, and these are it! They're perfect for produce because they breathe. It doesn't hurt that they're also really lightweight and cute. I love that they come in two colors, as I could also see myself using one in a non-grocery situation... if I were going out to the beach, for example. The crochet look makes them the most stylish grocery bag ever! lol.

The mesh grocery bags work perfectly for fruit and vegetables. They are quite large and can hold up to 22 pounds. If your produce is too small (like loose grapes) it will fall out through the holes but most produce fits securely without falling out. The bags are large enough to fit beets and carrots with the stems on, leeks or large bundles of lettuce. The bags are light weight and the strings are thin but surprisingly sturdy. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked them because they are very open but they work great instead of using plastic produce bags while in the store. They let the produce breathe but still keep the produce from rolling around in your cart. They even work great for carrying clothing, beach towels, shoes etc. What is really nice is that you can use them to wash your lettuce or other produce. I like pulling the pieces off of romaine or iceberg and throwing them in the bag for a thorough rinse. It’s a nice way to keep it all together while washing it without having to get a dish/colander out to wash everything in. Then you can just hang the bag over your sink and let the lettuce air dry until you are ready to store it or use it.The only downside I noticed is that there were a few strings coming out of the seams (see example in pic). I am not sure that it affected anything but it has me a little concerned about the durability of the bags based on the stitching. They seem to hold up fine with zero issues, so I still think they are worth buying. The bags are sturdy but too delicate for machine washing so I really would recommend hand washing these only. I would hang them to dry by the main straps or lay them flat on a towel, either works fine. They are easy to fold up or stuff so you can carry them anywhere. They are made of natural organic cotton which is a big plus and since they are reusable, there is no waste. I now love these bags and I absolutely recommend!

Ordered for possibly using at farmer's market or for harvesting vegetables. The mesh means dirt and what not can just fall away. Straps are long enough to fit on should or just carry in hand. Seems durable enough to not have to worry about falling apart en route. Should be washable. I'd consider putting in a mesh laundry bag to prevent it from catching on something. Overall nice bag for those purposes.

I opened the bag they were packaged in and the product smelled like it had been stored im someone’s musty basement. Washed in Tide and Oxyclean Odor Eliminator and still smelled really bad. Washing again with the same plus bleach. If that doesn’t work they will not be useable. Odor is very strong.

As plastic bags get super thin and tear at the sight of a box corner, I have been looking for ways to reduce my usage of them as well as do my part to conserve the landfill. I have bought other bags in the past, but its always a guarantee I forget them in the car and at that point, I find myself just getting the plastic bag. With these bags, they are very light and compact and can easily fit in my purse so that will solve forgetting them in the car. They look cute and stretch to fit a good amount. The label says it can hold 20lbs so thats pretty impressive. (Plastic bag shutters at the thought!) I will try these for a bit and make sure they continue to hold up and will likely reorder a few more so I can have them for grocery trips.
