Bought this kit to custom fit two desktop. Kit comes with measuring tape, alcohol wipes, scissors, magnetic strips ( enough for 3 to 4 desktop ) and two 120X30cm mesh filters. Had an older case, that had no filter on top ( sorry no photos ) and a newer one with no filter on the bottom. Mesh filter was easy to cut and the magnetic strips adhesion was very good. I would recommend this kit.

The mesh filters I made with this kit are indistinguishable from commercially made mesh filters. I needed a mesh filter for three new 120mm intake fans that I added to the front of my PC case. The case has three other fans that exhaust air and, therefore, do not need a mesh filter, but I placed one above the two fans on the top of the case more to prevent small objects from falling in than to filter the air. The mesh is open enough to not interfere with fan operation and does not seem to significantly slow the airflow. Dust collects on the mesh surface, where it is easily removed with a damp paper towel. The magnetic strips are equal in strength to those on the two mesh filters my PC case came with. The magnetic strip makes the mesh stay in place until you pull it up and remove it for cleaning. The magnetic mesh filter I constructed is equal in every way to the ones that the case had already. Highly recommended.

I got this because I have a couple of open spots on the back of my PC that are just big enough that a mouse was able to get in and kill my GPU. It comes with adhesive magnetic strips to hold it on, but the magnets are not polarized properly and always repel each other partially, plus they are very weak and the tiniest bit of pressure knocks the mesh right down. With the magnets repelling each other, too, it was impossible to keep lined up in the first place. I ended up just supergluing it to the inside of my case where I needed it since I knew I would never need that spot. The glue worked great and it's held firmly in place now, but if you can't superglue it you'll probably need to find an alternative method to secure it if you need it to stay in place. I do like that it came with scissors and a measuring tape as it saved a lot of extra hassle.

Product: [2Pack]120x30cm DIY PC Case Dust Mesh Filter for Computer PC Case,Vent Dust Filter Cover PVC Case DustProof Filter Cover,PC Mesh Grill with Magnetic Stripe Computer Cooler Fan Dust Filter for PC CaseASIN: B0C9J6FQ9ZThis is a very cost effective way to reduce dust build up on my PC. I have a case that has perforations on the side panel that serves as the only dust filter, although it helps, I wanted to reduce more dust build up. After having the mesh filter flat on a table for some time, I measured the section where I will use it on and added enough spacing for the magnetic strips. Cleaned the surface of the case side panel with the included wipes. Cut up the magnetic strips to surround the area, then laid it on the side panel (magnetic side). Cut up the mesh filter then pressed it against the magnetic strips (sticker side - backing peeled off). I find these steps easier to apply and keep the mesh flat. I also appreciate that a pair of scissors and tape measure were included with the kit.

The magnetic strips that comes with it a pretty decent, but the mesh themselves are pretty flimsy and are inefficient once cut.

did not expect wipes, measuring tape and scissors with the mesh! good value. mesh seems fine. holes aren't too big but lets see how it captures dust in a few months

This kit is exactly what I was hoping for. Large mesh rolls that are absolutely perfect. Comes with a great pair of scissors, a versatile measuring tape, cleaning wipes, and magnetic tape. The magnetic tape is sticky enough to actually stay stuck to the mesh. Magnet strength is also great. I would but this again any time if I need more in the future.

Perfect for replacing a missing top filter from a PC case. Easy to cut. My only gripe would be that I wish it came with a bit more magnetic strips or they were slightly longer. Great price though and will allow me to fix any missing or damaged mesh/filters on at least 4-5 PC cases.
I did not get the magnetic strip

This DIY dust filter kit is fantastic, and I am glad I got it.I needed a custom size that was not a standard size. For a first attempt, I think the results were good. The main problem I ran into was flattening out the sheet. The filter would curl, overpower the magnets, and peel off the case. Using magnets on all four edges works decently, but I have yet to find a perfect solution. The strip magnets have decent adhesion to steel. They are similar to flexible fridge magnets. The side with sticky tape has excellent adhesion to plastic.I am unsure how restrictive these filters are, but they let through a decent amount of air. The holes are 1mm in diameter, and the spacing between each hole is around 1.2mm with a hexagonal pattern. They look similar to the air filters that came with my PC case.
