POM material
This quick connector was made of High-quality POM (polyoxymethylene). Compared with the PP material, POM has good solvent resistance, oil resistance, weak acid resistance, weak alkali resistance, and also has high hardness and rigidity. Also, POM material is non-toxic. You may use it in many areas.
High quality POM material, SUS302 button，Double Diaphragm check valve，Double EPDM O-ring design. We do our best to control the quality of our products.
Double shut-off check valve
• Both male and female sides was built-in check valves.
• When the male coupling and the female coupling are independent in a piping system, either of them has a shut-off valve function to prevent liquid or gas leakage and flowback.
• When the male coupling and the female coupling are locked together by the snap ring, the pipeline can be formed into a passage in an instant; when the snap ring is released, the male coupling and the female coupling are automatically separated, both ends of the pipe are closed instantly.

I should have read the other reviews. It failed within 24 hours of diesel exposure. The housing material is fine (at least so far). It's the seals & O-rings that are not fuel resistant. They swelled, failed & blocked the fuel line and prevented the connectors from functioning any more.

Does not work with Jet-A or diesel- the internal o-rings swell and stop flow. Buy from a reputable source that can provide information on compatibility.

Had this same design on my KTM dirt bike. These are better! 2 "O" rings instead of 1 that my KTM had. Auto shutoff is a plus. My KTM was not. Very happy with these. These work great!

First one I installed did not allow fluid to go through, when I took it apart, spring and piston fell out. Installed the second one, fluid did flow but when disconnected they did not seal off and fluid escaped from both ends. These were some off the cheaper quick disconnects I found, guess I got what I paid for.... CHEAP

No leaks when the fittings are disconnectedI am using it for water cooling with antifreeze mixed with distilled waterThe only issue with this product is its restriction of fluid flow throughout the quick disconnectPlease do not use fuel or corrosive chemicals/fluids with this product its literally plastic for the housing and rubber for the o-rings, sure its resistant to it but i doubt it'll last very long.

bought this to have a no mess hookup to gas can, only connected twice, then when decoupling, it came apart, spring and internal plastic making a mess.
