They are loose however a single wrap of gorilla tape tightened them up and for 6$ you can plug both ends of your receiver. Worth it.

This was purchased to replace the original. The original was a soft rubber that fit snugly with a friction fit. This product is a hard plastic that fits loosely in the receiver tube and will doubtlessly fall out.

the standard receiver is 2"x2", the insert part of these, is smaller, I had to wrap electrical tape around it until it was large enough to be snug. The outside of it, is larger than normal, inserts. It is just Odd.

These fit to loose. Already lost one on the road first time using. They do not fit a 2 x 2 hitch opening, Look elsewhere for a proven brand. Or must wrap heavy tape around them to shim.
