Bought sinden light guns but didn't wanna shell out 250 for the time crisis pads. These with some spare parts, some 3d printed pieces and a raspberry pi pico did the job effectively. Switches work fine so far and the microwitches themselves can be replaced if need be. Did what I wanted for less than a 10th of the price. As other reviews stated they look metal but aren't. The base plate is metal which and has 4 rubber feet. Regardless they seem durable enough for my use case

I am in the process of building a 'slow speed grinder', similar to one I saw on YouTube, and putting a motor on my 'leather patcher' sewing machine. This will allow me to control the on/off function with my foot, leaving both hands free to support/guide the work. I will have to set the speed manually as this does not allow the pedal to control the speed - it is a simple on/off switch. For my purpose, that will work, since for the most part I will only be using one speed and can easily alter it by using the PWM (pulse width modulation) control unit I got for the 250 watt motor I am using for each project. All parts are available through Amazon and I will be happy to provide links if asked. Motorizing the sewing machine (it comes as hand driven), seems to be pretty popular but I found that, for me, a 100 or 150 watt motor was not quite strong enough. These come as a set of two and the price is quite reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised that each comes with a cord that is approximately 6 feet long. They are made of plastic, but appear to be pretty sturdy and are wired as constant on (press the pedal to turn it off, release it to have it resume), or constant off (press the pedal to turn it on, release to shut it off), The internal wiring is done for you, all you have to do is connect the appropriate wire to your device. The wiring is not all that heavy, and they are only rated for about 10 amps so would probably not work well for larger motors, but for my use, they appear to be ideal.

The photo shows the red wire as NO(normally open) and black wire as NC(normally closed) It is in fact reversed. This caused me have to rewire part of my project. There also is not sticker on the bottom with the wiring diagram like in the photos.

I wired these pedals into my arcade system and now I have gas and break pedals for my driving games. They work great.

I have used foot switches from Radio Shack and MFJ for years, and they have tended to last about 5 years before falling apart. These are much more heavily built and are about half the price I paid ten years ago for the last pair I bought. I expect to be all set for a long time. Highly recommended.

I was expecting some cheap plastic crap but these are actually made quite well. The should definitely last a long time.

Used it to make my own ultrasonic foot pedal. Worked great. Really nice clean snap.
