These are large and adjustable, so they are great for figuring out if you like a higher or lower toe stop. You will need a wrench to install and adjust, but that's not hard to find. Just don't think that you can hand tighten these. I haven't used them enough to tell the wear rate, I usually just turn 1 foot and use my wheels to slow down rather than the toe stop, as I mainly skate indoors. I got these for the color to match my new wheels, and I don't often use the toe stop to brake. I can say that they stay in place once installed, and haven't come loose at all, again I mainly use these for pushing off to start going, and not much for braking.

These are Not bad, but..this listing is TERRIBLE!!All pictures in the listing are the WRONG kind of skate. These are replacement toe stops but they are ONLY for skates with an adjustable toe stopper (no screw hole visible on stopping surface). The pictured skates in the description area are of skates with a fixed stopper which THESE ARE NOT!!I have several pairs of skates with both stoppers so I wasn't upset but a newer skater looking to upgrade may feel deceived. I have included photos of these installed on lenexa savanna skates you twist to install it but MUST tighten it with a wrench to insure proper installation tightness. Do NOT think that your hand is strong enough or your stoppers will fall out and roll across the rink floor. I can't tell you how many times skaters have been forced to leave the rink floor due to losing a stopper and not being able to find the pieces afterwards!Anyway a fixed stopper has a screw or allen wrenchable area to loosen and tighten the stopper. Again these are ADJUSTABLE meaning you can jack them all the way up for more clearance on your toes if you don't have a jam plug or lower them to touch the ground faster to stop immediately like in rollerderby. These are close to 85-89A so great for indoors and Out. I believe its 5/8 STEM but you can check your skate specs the stem is not long but not short, its perfect for a novice who's looking to figure out what they prefer after being able to balance and learning to properly stop. The original stopper was too big for my liking it touched the ground when I wanted to turn backwards even though I jacked it up. Clearance makes a huge difference so these are perfect for me to practice with as others can be as much as $25 this is reasonable enough that I can buy 2 sets and dye the older one when the color gets dirtier. I like diy stuff.Happy skating.
