If you work with fiber optics you know having a means to loop back a strand to another one for testing is a handy thing. I carry a 1' LC-LC that has the clips removed, but now I can just plug this into the fiber tray and test from the far end.For fiber patch testing the use of an LC-LC bulkhead would loop a patch up for testing. The black cover probably shouldn't be removed but in doing so I see a single strand of fiber going from one to the other.Definitely a good thing for my fiber toolbag!

Great for creating a quick loopback fiber test connection on the go. I like that there are no wires (fibers) sticking out, just a plastic case with dual connections. I also dislike the case as I think a short LC pigtail would also be more useful in certain situations. Bottom line, it works, is low profile and easy to stash in your fiber tool bag.
