The 5 foot cable is actually attached to the plug, not the controller. So you cannot fully remove the plug. In states like California it is the law to have the plug removed when trailering. This is such a dumb flaw on an otherwise perfect product. The wire coming off the plug should be about 6" and the line from the controller should be the long run - not the opposite. This way you could remove the plug and easy reconnect when putting it back in. Bummed I will have to return this.

Remote doesn’t work neither does the app. Just stays a solid color and won’t turn off unless power is disconnected
