Update: These fit very tight and definitely require a dead low hammer to install. After I grabbed my dead low, they practically installed themselves. Took about 10 seconds for each cap.Definitely recommend these. They’re also pretty thick steel, compared to some other caps I’ve worked with. I just hope I won’t have to rebuild these hubs for a long time…Original: I’ve installed hundreds of hub covers on cars and trucks to trailers and I have to say that I have never had to fight with a set of hub covers as much as I have had to with these. I see other reviews mentioning filing them down to get them to fit and that should not be needed, ever.As of writing this I have just received the set of hub covers and tried both of them on my brand new dexter axle with no success with a regular claw hammer and steel block. I’ll need to retrieve my tools out of storage and try again at least with my dead blow hammer and maybe a socket. I refuse to spend money on an installation tool that costs more than double what these cost.Buyer beware, these are not made the correct size for standard hubs. They are very slightly too large.I will update once installed.

It was a very tight fit and using a rubber mallet it took several tries to align it correctly and hammer it in place. It's not going to fall off like the others I have tried.

Simple but great caps for my trailer, installed easy and work great to keep dust and debris out of the bearings.

Restored some old hubs and rather than go back to the caps, these are easy to install and very robust.

I recently replaced my axle and a dexter ez-lube was installed on my fiberglass rv trailer. I don't intend to use that feature but my hub dust/grease caps weren't replaced. My originals weren't staying on properly, probably because they were rubbing the ez-lube grease fitting. My hub has an outer diameter of 1.987.I tried some others and couldn't get them installed. I tried these and they fit very tight but worked. Because there is a hole in the middle of them I could use my seal driver to hammer them on and they sit far enough away nothing is touching the spindle. Look great and I'm sure they will be a pain to remove when I repack my bearings, but better than them falling off. and theseI also use center caps on my trailer wheels so it prevents losing the grease cap if it does come off and provides some extra protection.
