Honesty would be preferred here. Nothing in the post indicates the carders sold here are slicker brushes. I still would have bought them, since i was looking locally for slicker brushes before using Amazon to buy carders.

My wife and I have three cats, two of which shed more than any cat I've ever had, so I got these for brushing them, not for wool carding or felting. These are very large brushes, the brush head is almost as big as my wife's hand, and they are what I would consider to be like professional pet groomers' brushes. Our two older aren't used to being brushed, and our youngest girl has never been brushed. Since we've gotten these brushes we have had weekly brushings and the whole house gets excited! All of the cats love brushing time and these brushes are extraordinary at how much hair it gathers. I've told several friends about these brushes, they are so effective. These are an excellent value for the price and I would recommend these to anyone who has pets.

I got this to brush out my yarn scraps and spin it up again but these do not brush out the fibers. They just tangle the fibers. the bristles are not stiff enough to brush through them and the bristles are set in a flexible vinyl pad like a hair brush which means the bristles can move. I will be returning these.
