So far I've only tested them to power 12-volt fans, and they are impressive to look at! Hope they hold up, they seem to be well made and well thought out.

I love gadgets, especially in my Jeep. Besides the normal runs of lights and accessories I have a big audio system in my vehicle. My audio system, given the limited space to install things, tends to run hot, especially in the summer. I was looking for a way of fixing this and so I installed a big air-duct/bilge fan to circulate air around my amplifiers. At first I had an on-off switch, but at full tilt this fan is NOISY, and given that its purpose is to allow me to enjoy my music I wanted a way of limiting that noise, so I decided to install a DC switch. I tried three from Amazon, two of which malfunctioned and the third, which worked, just looking terrible for the installation. When I saw these I had to jump. These are really nice controllers! The other three I tried were aesthetically much less pleasing, just metal cages with a rotary knob. You couldn't really tell what the speed setting was, and, unless you were wanting to detach the knob and install it through a panel, were bulky and made good mounting difficult. These switches actually look good on a panel. The LCD indicator is bright and lets you know exactly what your fan speed is. The knob is even an on-off switch; you just push in on the knob and you can power it on and off. It stays lit up when you've turned it off, so I still have it on a separate toggle switch, but I love the feature.I have one of these installed on my dash, and it's about to be joined by the other when I install my second blower fan.Overall I'm really excited about how well these turned out in my project. I highly recommend!Note: the set screw plugs on the bottom are a little narrow. If you're having trouble getting the wires in and keeping them from touching I suggest getting ferrules with a ferrule crimper, it made it incredibly easy to set mine up and the installation looks clean.Note 2: if you look at my picture it appears the face is rippled. It's not, that's a piece of tint film I used to lower the brightness for night driving.

Husband is planning to use these controllers on the shake table he is building for his gold hunting adventures. He needed something to control the vibrating DC motor, and these fit the bill. The controllers are well made, and Husband likes that they can be installed into a panel for a control board. Preliminary testing has proven positive.
