Nice system, however, I think this was a use/return unit. Two of the cameras are stuck in one location and has to be manually turned. The receiver unit has a small dent. Would love to keep but with two cameras not working properly don't want to get stuck with a paper weight.

8 Camera NVR Security Camera System with NVR - $469.99 at time of receiptThis works really well! They were fully and completely tested in my house because it is just too cold outside to run the wires and conduit. Every single camera has a clear view and connected. The NVR lets you set multiple camera views, including all 8 at once. You can control each camera from inside the house with it.The instructions were quite clear. We had one blip where one camera just would not work. It's weird, but all we had to do was switch which cable it was connected to, and then it reinitialized, and all 8 work fine now.We want to power not just POE but also with the secondary power coupling. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anywhere in the book or on the website just WHAT kind of cable to get for that. We can't string them until we find out, as our distance is too far for reliable POE.Since we're talking about their website, let me add that their website has a marvelous FAQ. Just about everything (except what kind of cable to buy for non-POE lol) is covered. They have question lists for multiple cameras that they sell. It's very well done.The POE cables are generous in length at 60 feet each.There is an app that you get to control the cameras from your phone or tablet as well.If you're wondering if you can run this as a closed circuit security system, the answer is yes. You can just use the POE cables on the cameras, but don't connect the NVR to the internet. This will not allow you to use the app, or any device other than the NVR, but if your security requires a closed system, this can do it.I recommend this system if you can afford to buy a really good one. (I did note that the price has gone up considerably.) It's a great system, it's nice to see a company with an actual website with customer service, and they have an email address right in the booklet.The listing here says one year warranty, but the book says two year warranty. I'm not sure which is true. They require you to register with purchase date and receipt in order to be covered.

4K at 8 Megapixels is so much clearer than 1080P. When seen on the screen at the same time, the 1080 almost seems a little blurry in comparison. The only thing is that this 4K camera has a rating of 14 frames per second (FPS) instead of like high end cameras with 30, or 60. So in still shots it doesn't matter, but if someone is running across the screen how many frames are captured per second is a factor.The cameras included boast a 130-degree wide angle plus viewing range, and then added to that it also gives you a 355-degree rotating view. That is huge. Curious what your neighbors are doing? Which side, or even across the street. :-)Parking one of these cameras in the front door pocket and pesky door to door solicitors are no longer a nuisance. You can shoo them away sitting at your desk, or anywhere in your home through your cell phone app.The other thing is the POE advantage which means you get power over the same ethernet cable that is sending the signal. So, there are no batteries to recharge, or having to run a separate power cord. This kit does however have an option of connecting an independent power supply to it in the event you want to run 200 feet instead of the usual 60. I really like being able to view all of the cameras on one screen, so you don't have to fumble between various screens to see what is going on. If you spot something of interest on one of the multiple screens on your monitor, you can click on it and blow it up full screen. With a 1TB drive included you can keep a lot more historic footage. All in all, a nice package. Highly recommended.

High quality, great image, convenient features:This product is very well designed and feels durable and well manufactured. The cameras are a bit heavier than anticipated and clearly sturdy and able to withstand outdoor environments very well. The image that comes through is also very sharp and more than adequate for my needs. The pan and tilt features add a lot of convenience to the design, especially when paired with the auto-tracking feature, so I can cover a lot more area when compared to stationary cameras. The product is also simple to control since it comes with an intuitive remote control and large hard drive, making it easy to play back videos without needing to pay for a cloud subscription.Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.
