I was advised by home inspection to add joist hangers to a structure that didn’t have them (toe nailed in joists).I used these and think they’re extremely easy to work with. For new construction I may feel cozier with the name brand Simpson thicker ones, but I don’t expect these to fail ever.Recommend using the Simpson SD or SDS screws with these, it’s a whole lot simpler than the nails and they are rated for this application. (Normal screws don’t have the sheer strength but the SD ones do)

Word of warning, lumber ( timber ) size states 2x6, UK structural C24 treated timber is 147x47 planed, finish sizes, you will need to chamfer bottom edges of timber to fit the available 40mm clear width of the hanger holding the joists

While the product is of reasonable material and quality it is NOT a Simpson tie. It is approx 2" shorter overall in length. The guage of the steel is very close and it is a hurricane style tie but think some liberties were taken in the naming of this product.
