About this item

  • Set of three different size paracord lacing needles! Consists of one needle for each of the following size cords: 550#, "Manny Method" Mid-Sized/Tactical, and micro paracord. Precision made with blunt no-snag tips! Includes a plastic storage tube to protect and easily locate your fids!
  • DURABLE AND STRONG! Available in high quality billet aluminum with high luster anodized finish or medical grade stainless steel finish! Jig Pro Shop offers the finest paracord stitching needles available on the market today!
  • DEEP THREADED FOR SOLID GRIP! Simply melt the end of your paracord and form it into a point before it dries to thread into your stitching needles! (Note: Different manufacturers cords may be different thickness. If you aren't getting a tight grip from your needles, you may flatten the tip of the cord out a bit into a "mushroom" shape before threading).
  • THE FIRST, AND STILL THE BEST! Jig Pro Shop was the first to manufacture needles specifically for use with paracord, and the first to offer paracord needles in stainless steel! Go with the pros!
  • Every purchase from Jig Pro Shop supports a small American family-owned business!

Jig Pro Shop LLC is proud to introduce the absolute finest paracord stitching needles available on the market today! These needles are manufactured from high quality billet aluminum with a high luster anodized finish. This set contains (1) Type III / 550 Paracord Needle, (1) Type II / 275 Tactical Paracord Needle, and (1) Type I / Micro Cord Needle. Stitching needles are a great tool for your paracord projects. Use them for adding ribbons, and thin lines to your projects. One end of the needle is pointed for stitching. The other end is open and threaded just the right size allowing you to twist your paracord into it. Simply melt the end of your paracord with a lighter and form it into a point before it dries. Then you can twist the end of the paracord into the threaded end of the stitching needle. These needles are 3 1/2" in length. This is the perfect all-around size for most paracord projects.

They seem well made and not too sharp. Very happy with the purchase.

UPDATE: I've used these fids for a handful of projects now and still really love them. Unfortunately, when I was threading some micro-cord through an existing knot on a recent project the end of the smallest fid broke off. It was a tight space that I was feeding my cord through, but I really don't feel like it should have been enough to snap the end off like that. I was actually really surprised when it snapped because I was not "forcing" it or doing anything odd.Fortunately, the threading still goes deeper beyond the break, so I'm going to try and sand down the jagged edge and I think I can still make use of the small fid (though I still do have that second, cheaper set that I used to finish the project after this fid broke).Anyhow, I guess just be wary of the fragility. Decided to only remove one star.Originally I purchased a much cheaper set of fids here on Amazon. Definitely got what I paid for; awkward sizing on the paracord end. Horrible tips that snagged. These fids, on the other hand are finished beautifully. No snaggy points, smooth angles, deep and grabby paracord-ends. Sizing is perfect for both 550 cord and type-1 micro-cord (the only sizes I have tried so far).Wish I'd purchased these ones the first time around! Thanks for a great product.

A nice set of set fids for the most common paracord sizes (or any cord the right sizes, really). I like the largest so much because of its long point that I ordered a few more. These are heavy-duty, stainless fids. If you haven't tried one like these, you really should. They have a solidity in the hand that aluminum lacks. The tube? It probably won't hold up. Mine already has a couple of little splits starting at the top. No big deal, though. They'll probably end up in a tool roll anyway.Recommended!

Works fine for making paracord knots. Easy to load, just screw onto the cord.
