  • ★【4 Steps】Be Patient. There are 4 total cycles, 7 days each to have pretty rocks / gems. Step 1, 60 Coarse Silicon Carbide Grit. Step 2, 220 Medium Silicon Carbide Grit. Step 3, 500 Fine Silicone Carbide Grit. Step 4, 1200 Aluminum Oxide Grit. Just measure in the grit, add enough water to cover the stones, seal the barrel, and tumble. The only variable is how much of the product to use in your rock tumbler. We suggest 2 tbsp of grit per pound of stones, which is a good rule of thumb.

This is a great set for beginners. I did end up getting another set that had a better final polishing aluminum dioxide powder, nonetheless this is well worth the price and effective for the first 3 tumbles in a rotary.

Competitive price and good results using this package of grit. Had great results using these, just a suggestion they should provide suggested amount to use for various tumbler sizes. As a new tumbler, I have read 2 lapidary books and have two tumbling machines each with different suggestion for measurements. Otherwise I will buy again from this seller.

Good value easy to use once you figure out that the scoop is to be used for each bottle. Only complaint was I got no instructions with it. But was easy enough to figure out so it’s all good . My grandchildren and I totally enjoyed doing our rocks with it and they look wonderful!
