I really enjoy how well they fit on top of the 5 gallon buckets

Good quality and size above a 5 gallon bucket for cleaning my polished rocks out of the tumbler. Recommended for all rockhounds out there.

These seem sturdy, although I'm not so sure about the welds that hold the handles on. They look a little sketchy. The dome is also not perfectly shaped, but a little lopsided if you look at it from the side, as shown in my photo. These strainers are more shallow than most of our other strainers. A regular magnet is not attracted to the strainers. A stronger rare earth magnet is not attracted to the mesh, but does stick slightly to the rim and handles.I have a stainless bowl which has a 10.75" interior width and is 11.75" from outer rim to outer rim. One of these strainers fits it perfectly. We're going to try using one when we make batches of ice cream. The mesh is very fine, so I'm not sure how well it will work for that. It may clog too easily. If that's the case, I'm sure we will find plenty of other uses for these.

These fit perfectly over a 5-gallon bucket. They’re light and easy to position. The mesh strains paint chunks well.If you line your bucket with plastic prior, you can have a basically mess-free setup.I do recommend quickly rinsing the strainer before it gets gunked up with dried paint.Overall, I’m really happy with these.

These strainers work great for a multitude of uses beyond just paint. Not sure if it is food grade but we are using one in the kitchen as a strainer as it is bigger than most of the normal kitchen size strainers that you can get. We also use it when we pick vegetables from the garden and then rinse them off in the hose let the veggies sit in there and dry for a bit before putting them in the fridge. I also use one as a strainer for the rocks that I tumble. I will dump the rocks along with the slurry out of the tumbler into the strainer and then run the hose over it and the rocks get washed off from the slurry without losing any rocks.

I cannot attest to how these work for straining paint though I imagine they would take a long time. I bought these for use in a prep kitchen based on other reviews saying they were used for infusions but the oddly shallow design does not allow for gravity to help with straining. I used them for a large format clarified cocktail and they had less space but took twice as long as much cheaper strainers. Unfortunately, I cannot return these and I'll have to just throw them away.
