I have owned both wood and plastic jointed figure models in the past but wasn't thrilled with them. They were 8" and 6" tall respectively. This time, I purchased the 13" ones against my past experience judgement because I found a really good drawing teacher on YouTube (Alphonso Dunn) and I want to deep dive on drawing figures. Wow, what a difference! Much better! I got three of them so I can pose group settings. The quality of these jointed models is excellent and you can really see the proportions easily for blocking your figures on the page. I'm really happy with this purchase and highly recommend getting the bigger size for anyone serious about learning figure and action drawing. You will have to play with them a bit to loosen them up to get the elbows and knees to bend, but it's there; you just have to get past their newness. But in the end, you won't be disappointed with these. They're a good buy at a very reasonable price. Happy drawing! 😃

Ordered these as sketching models for a middle school class, so the large size was a plus since they are at the front of class. Kids grabbed these as soon as they arrived and have been posing them in crazy groups ever since. Seem to be reasonably flexible and will hold a pose well - can be used on or off the stand (can be posed to support themselves off the stand nicely in positions like a handstand). Have already provided hours of entertainment and fun - love that there is a group of 3 and for the price, would definitely recommend. Way more fun than having just one. Boxes were a bit dinged in shipping but the models arrived intact, so that was fine. Kids want to add googly eyes - should make a fun addition. Again, phenomenal for a kids' class, very entertaining and would also make a fun bookshelf resident.

I am learning to draw late in life. This has been a great tool for me to mimic body expression and motion.If you are starting out, these are a good cheap way to get you drawing figures in different poses.

Incase anyone is wondering, yes they do come off the stand if you need them to, yes they can be put back onto the stand with a little force.
