This egg shell opener works very well. I was easily able to crack open a few eggs with the egg yolk remaining intact inside the surrounding whites. So this little device comes in very handy when making fried eggs!I still haven't quite gotten the hang of being able to separate the yolk from the whites. I was able to retain the yolk inside the opener while letting go of MOST of the white, but wasn't able to completely separate the 2 parts of the egg. I think there are other devices out there that do a better job separating them, or perhaps my egg separating skill will improve with practice!Since I only need one of these in my kitchen, I will give away the other two to family members. Had I had the option to order just one (or two), I would have done that instead.

Although this is not typically an item one goes in search of, I came across it and thought it would be perfect for those times when making Deviled Eggs, with a lot of eggs needed to make up a few separate dishes for a gathering of a lot of people. These little Egg Crackers/Peelers came in handy and did the trick. Recommend.
