I blame myself for not reading the "About this item" section. With the tie collar bars being made of plastic, the grip on the shirt collar is not secure. You want the metal tie bars, they have a better grip.NOTE: Do not waste your money on this product!

I know that these are quite inexpensive, however I did expect them to work. The clasp would not widen easily and when I did widen it, it would not tighten back up...rendering it useless.
