Each of these burr balls has a nice heft, and when attached to my angle grinder, I found them to have great balance at high RPM. I took them to the edges of soft pine and hard walnut and got a smooth carving action on both. Almost no dust thrown more than a few inches away. The diameters do have different "patches" upon the wood so test all 3 to see which one suits the area you are working on. The blackening doesn't come off on fingers, there is the tackiness of oil though, fine by me. Thumbs up.
