I'm a stained glass artist and purchase these for my stained glass spinners. I love them because you just throw a D battery in them turn them on and your spinners are spinning even if it's not windy outside. The 2 pack is a much better deal but if you only need one this works in a pinch. Even though The top hook is made of plastic it is very sturdy and the motor, when turned on, is quiet.

I bought to use in my Christmas display... to spin a crystal Ornament. However it spun so fast, it got a lil out of control.I'll have to play around with it. Maybe the more weight, the slower it will rotate? Idk.

I have literally only had these for 1 month and they’ve both stopped working. They run off of D cell batteries and I’ve changed the batteries and they still don’t work. I used to be able to jiggle the on/off toggle and they would start working again but that doesn’t work anymore. I can’t recommend these to anyone…period!! I am not a person who leaves reviews (good or bad) but this time I just had to

They are cheap like the rest of the multitude of spinners on Amazon. They work out of the box, so that is the reason for the 3 stars. That said, these use batteries faster than average. They also die fairly quickly - most of these motors can't survive a decent wind storm, and these were the same. I bought these around 3 months ago, and both are now dead. I will be buying another brand, but don't expect much out of that either.If I knew where to buy a quality one, I would, but until then, I'm going to keep replacing them every few months unfortunately.
