Extremely fast transfer of sources. Works perfectly for my project of having automatic transfer of a small generator backed circuit.

The transfer switch works as designed. I did not get any instructions at all with mine. However, there is a schematic diagram on the cover. The enclosure for the components is of good quality and has two mounting ears so you can screw or bolt the box to support(s). There is a pigtail with a male plug labeled, "AC Input 1." A second pigtail is labeled, "AC Input 2." The 3rd pigtail is labeled, "AC Output - Load." This is clear enough except you need to know which input is your primary/normal power, and which is your secondary/backup power. The load is clear enough as that is your "use side."Depending on your needs you may want "Shore/Utility" power to be your primary power and your "Inverter/Generator" power to be your secondary power. If that is the case simply make "Input 1" your normal primary power and "Input 2" your secondary power source. The ATS is well made and should give your a good service life. The one star I knocked off was not for the quality of the product, but was instead because they supplied no documentation other than the schematic that is on the box cover. Not everyone is familiar with electricity and how to connect components, but can do it with clear instructions.

I got this KUTTOLE 15Amp Automatic Transfer Switch to ensure uninterrupted power to a freezer in my garage in case of grid power outages. I like this unit because it is a simple electro-mechanical relay switch in a good weather resistant housing without all the display screens and electronics that can fail or be burned out with a power spike. The unit comes with a 3-prong plug that goes to the grid power. You have to terminate the other wires as your needs dictate. I wired in a 12AWG extension that ran to the freezer terminated in a 3-prong female plug on the output side and a 12AWG extension with 3-prong male plug that connected into a120V, 3000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter (6000W peak) and battery backup on the other input side. When the grid power goes down, the switch transfers the input power to the battery backup without me having to manually switch over.Due to the 15Amp capacity of the KUTTOLE Transfer Switch and the limited 3000W capacity of my Pure Sine Wave inverter, I can only run one freezer off this setup. I would need a higher capacity Automatic Transfer Switch (minimum of 20A but 30A preferred) and a larger Pure Sine Wave inverter (6000W std/10000W peak) to power multiple freezers off one backup system. My plan is to have these smaller transfer switches and power inverter/battery backup on each appliance for redundancy. In conclusion, this KUTTOLE 15Amp Automatic Transfer Switch is a simple and durable solution to my needs. I will purchase more and recommend them.

I was skeptical of the quality before I ordered this from Kuttole. I was wrong. It is EXACTLY as described on the Go Power! site. Plastic housing, covering over the switching mechanism is included, Wago wire connectors, terminated plug going to the charger, etc. It looks great. Here's how I'm using mine: Install inside my RV. Connect shore power and an inlet to the switch. The inlet will connect to an Anker Power Station and allow me to power the AC plugs in my camper when not connected to Shore Power. The main usage will be for when we're travelling and need to stop. We can then run the microwave, TV, etc. Not the lights, because those are on the DC side and we will NOT be powering the converter or battery charger.I think they rebranded the same item Go Power! sells. Highly impressed with the quality.

The videos show the lid easily coming off. I have made several attempts to try getting the lid popped off these 4 stubborn tabs on the box, so I can see what is inside. There are two tabs on two sides of the box body where the lid slips over the tabs. I am experimenting with DIY solar power generating system and needed an auto generator transfer switch.
