Does exactly what I wanted - even at full length. Just remember to let the saw do the work.

Works as it should. If you going to use all of the poles you better have some good core strength. I rarely give five stars.

Before I go into the negatives, I'd like to make a couple general comments that probably apply to all poles like this one.First, I didn't find to be too heavy. I'm old and never really had any muscles, and I didn't have any issues with the pole at full length. I will say that the pole is way too floppy to be really practical at full lengh. There is so much give that you can't press the saw into the tree at all. The only force the saw has on the tree is the weight of the saw and the pole, so I think it would be impossible to cut anything if the pole were full length and standing straight up. I found the best thing is to try to get off at an angle so that some of the pole weight is pressing the saw to the tree. Next I'll say that the pruner works pretty well, and is probably more useful than the saw. And finally, I didn't have an issue with sections becoming loose as I used it.As for this particular pole saw, one disappointment was the length. It has 7 1m poles and one 20 inch pole. That comes to about 296 inches, or 24 feet 8 inches. Perhaps they are adding in the length of the tool to get 27' ??? I don't think the tools are 2.5 feel long, but whatever. Count on 24 feet 8 inches worth of pole on the 27 foot version.Next, the rubber grip on the "bottom" pole freely slides up and down, making it useless as a pole grip. Finally, the quality control is horrible. The only pole that attaches to the tools is the 20 inch pole. On the one I received, the coupling on the 20 inch pole is rivited on crooked. So the pole has a distinct bend to it. No matter what length I use, I have to use that 20 inch pole, so I can never avoid it. I posted a photo of the pole laying flat on the ground, and you can see how far the end comes up when it should be flat on the ground as well. The pruner also has a crooked coupling. So I think the pole is a good idea. Be aware that because it can't be used to saw straight up and down due to a lack of rigidity, it must be used somewhat off to the side. Assuming it needs at least a 30 degree angle to cut well, I would say max vertical reach is about 20 feet, which means about 23 feet since I'm holding it about 3 feet off the ground. Also be very aware of the poor quality control, at least on the one I received.

Used this item several times now. Easy to add and subtract length as needed, even in-process. Saw blade has both end-to-end stop catchers (lock feature) to prevent blade from exiting off branch during use which is a great feature when cutting higher elevation branches. The saw blade is extra sharp, making the cuts a quick-fast cut, also important when cutting the high elevation branches to prevent arm fatigue. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend this particular product for tree trimming. Exceeded expectations!

It's designed wrong for it's form. It is nearly impossible to use. Too heavy and flimsy for it's length. If it was telescopic, maybe. But, forget it once it's all together. Too hard to lift once it's together, to maneuver. The sections rotate in use, and become loose. Opened the box, put it together, attempted a cut, took it apart, and put it back in the box. Major fail

I used it to cut a 70ft tree started from the top all the way to the bottom. The weight of the pole makes for the force necessary to drive the saw deep into the branches. Best purchase ever! I saved $6,000 in tree takedown fees 🤣
