I loved that these crowns were very shiny and reflective. (One set is a bit more matte which was also pretty). They are made of a thin cardboard-similar to poster board thickness.They had slits cut to latch the crown and actually the latch held tight. It can fit an adult or child’s head as there are several slits to accommodate different sizes. I did notice that even on the smallest size though, the crowns were slipping down the 3 yr old and younger’s heads but you could manually tape it tighter and not bother with the precut latches.We used regular Elmer’s school glue to attached ribbons and plastic gems-it was a big hit!I also liked that there were quite a bit of variety in the cut out pattern.Once they refine the packaging, this will be a 5 star item: they came tightly rolled which is fine because the crown is round (we just taped ours down with painter’s tape while decorating). The problem was the plastic film seemed to melt and meld with the crowns so the two on the outside were completely ruined-not usable. Many others (maybe 10 or so) had been a bit bent or a bit of the gold stripped off. Fortunately the kids did not seem to notice or care but if I had needed 30 pristine crowns, that would have been a problem.Overall, great item. Must improve the packaging!

These crowns were a bit of a disappointment. I bought these for Christmas Day. They came packaged wrapped tightly in cellophane which both bent the top of some of the crowns and peeled the gold off of some other crowns. While many crowns were fine, many were not. These crowns will fit children with large heads and adults with small and medium sized heads. They did not fit everyone. I would have a hard time recommending this product.
