I love these -- using them with a recently purchased batch of 48-inch black-anodized rails, and they provide clean smooth closure for the exposed ends. This is especially nice when they have those shiny fresh cuts with carbide blade marks, not to mention general safety around sharp edges. No sanding or other tidying - just a nice professional look.There is a decent interference fit -- I was wondering how this would work. They push on firmly, and can be tapped down with a light hammer or screwdriver handle, flush with the edges. There is a little projection that helps align them, and they don't fall off or require any adhesives.Basically, this is a perfect solution to the close-out problem when dealing with 2020, and is a welcome addition to my kit of frame-building parts.

These 4040 plastic caps fit perfectly on my 4040 aluminum extrusion bars. They have a triple internal rib on them so that they stay in place and also make it dust proof and insect proof. But the corners are not ribbed which does not make them waterproof. But it is on there pretty tight that unless you have it submerged, water will have a hard time coming in.It was fairly easy to push them in, but I had to really lean into it and make an effort to get them to go in. But this is a good thing so that it is a nice and secure fit. Very happy with the quality and fit of these end caps!

These black caps give a finished look to 2020 extrusion construction, with a couple of caveats: The split nub that holds the cap in place goes into the center hole of the extrusion's end. It fits the 5mm hole of a 2020 T-slot extrusion, but it's too large for the 4.2mm hole of a 2020 V-slot extrusion. The other thing is you must be gentle if you want to remove the cap from the extrusion after pushing it in. The first cap I tried to remove broke into pieces as I pried it out. I was much more careful removing the second cap, prying gently a little bit at a time with two opposing screwdrivers, and it came off just fine.

When installed, the cap is firmly held on. It looks good and fits well. It is unclear how well the cover cap would hold up if you repeatedly removed & reinstalled it. But most people are likely to be fine with that.

These end covers have a small round grommet in the middle that snaps into the hole at ends of each 2020 beam. The problem is that the holes are not consistent in size from manufacturer to manufacturer. The caps only fit on one of the brands of 2020 that I have. I could have probably hacked them by cutting off the grommet (it’s too big to fit the hole) and just gluing them, but these end caps are too small to cover the end of the 2020 beams, so I’ll have to keep looking for a better fit.

I purchased these to cap off some 4040 extrusion I ordered from open builds for a laser gantry but these do not fit the extrusion properly. It would require reshaping the tab on the cover and then it would not be a tight fit and would fall off the extrusion.

These caps fit my 2020 perfectly and give a more polished look to some of the jigs I built. Less expensive aftermarket alternative to the brand name stuff. Very satisfied.

Don't know how much I can say about these, it's a pretty simple product. They are well made enough for what they are. Good fit in finish. Come in a plastic container. Caps fit snuggly enough, they do the job.Good set, fair price, would recommend.
