I bought these to use as TIG welding coupons and they are great quality and are individually protected with plastic so it’s a good alternative compared to actual stainless coupons.

The 304 stainless is as stated, but the quality of the punching leaves a bit to be desired (most likely dull punch/die combination). The corners are all slightly deformed from the punching process, this is indicative of dull punches/dies or improper setup of the machine doing the work (yes, I did used to work in a shop where NC punching was done and flaws like this would have never passed our QC process). They are serviceable after sandwiching in between a couple of 1/8" stainless plates and taking a brass hammer to them, but I should not have to do that kind of post processing to get flat blanks. These were purchased to make high end laser engraved business cards, so perfection counts. Post processing or not, I will most likely be buying them again when the need arises.

#1: One of the sides of cling wrap was fused to every card. Required laser (iffy about funes) or acetone (ok def bad fumes). No amount of razor blading or other techniques got anywhere. It's literally just fused. Giant annoyance and mess.#2. The cards are consistent quality and they are stainless steel. Brushed, not mirror finished, but not too far of. Stnls steel is not magnetic (or very weakly). But it obviously is based on its engraving properties. The big issue is not their fault. But .5mm stainless steel sucks. It is very hard to do anything without warping them from heat without going extremely slow. I am an experienced fiber laser operator with a 100W JPT MOPA machine and I am convinced that the reason .5mm is rare is because it's an annoying in-between size that is hard to cut without scorching or engrave/mark without warping. (See photo)..8mm steel works fine and you can work fast without warping with a little bit of caution and trial and error. But they are a quality .5mm stainless steel card . If you can get the plastic off. Do NOT heat the card and try to melt it loose with direct heat or a heat gun or dryer. It just made the glue turn to mush so even w acetone those were a pain.

Not even sure it’s actually steel? I got a couple colors to sporadically show but tests weren’t going well in lightburn, also showed a coin from another seller the test worked fine on(same and adjusted settings) constantly wants to warp and I think it has a film on it? The smoking guys beard on bottom left bubbled
