We were moving so I purchased this to reinforce furniture, boxes etc. and it is much more than adequate. I highly recommend this banding.

An identical unit from ULine was $149.00 delivered., and absolutely identical to the same tool as ULine. This one was less than $28.00 delivered. I have over the years spent many hundreds of dollars with U Line, however their shipping cost often is higher than the product. And this applies to every item utilized for packing, from tape to boxes, from Zip Loc Bags to Packing Peanuts, virtually anything we small business persons need can be obtained at least half the price VS U Line. And ULines shipping cost.....UGH!! They arm making their money on Shipping Costs.

Used this to strap together battery cells for a DIY LiFePO4 battery kit. Works well. I'm sure I'll come up with all kinds of other things to use this for!

This is one of those tools that you don't think you will use that often, so you avoid buying it. Once you have one you will find you come up with things that this tool will come in handy for. Then it is easy to justify the expense.My wife is from the Philippines and we send these huge boxes full of things from America to her large and ever expanding family over there. I usually just tape the hell out of the box with Gorilla tape (Duct tape), but that got to be expensive. With this banding machine set up I can just tape the bottom and top of the box and then use the straps to secure it. We have sent our daughter who is in school there a laptop and I-phone and she never got it because someone cut the tape and removed them and taped the box back up before sending it to its final destination. There is no useable insurance for these boxes, so I feel better using these straps.I have used these types of strapping tools before when I worked for a logistics/trucking company when I was younger, so I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. There are a bunch of You-Tube videos also if you are having trouble. The instructions that come with the kit are pretty useless, but kind of funny to read.The tool itself seems well made and should last for a long time. The crimping tool is decent but does take quite a bit of effort to smash the metal buckle all the way. The cutting blade works great and is a convenient way to finish the job.I have used this for strapping the long planks together in my woodworking garage/shop and to re-strap a bed cover that I bought for my truck that needed to be returned. I have even used it to hold up a tall Christmas decoration for a friend that kept blowing over in the wind.This tool is awesome and if you have a need for one get it and I am sure you find you are able to use it for all kinds of things. Pretty soon I will need to buy more strapping and buckles/clips..LOL..

This kit contains everything you need to strap pallets and crates. The instructions are an amusing attempt at translation to English, but I must admit that their English is better than my Chinese! It took me a little while to figure out how to route the band and the instructions were actually helpful with this. One thing I did not realize until I looked closely at how it works, is that the tensioner also cuts the band, so that's handy!You wrap the band around your items, then put the loose end under the bottom of everything, pushing the handle down opens the clamp in the back. Then the end that's attached to the roll goes through the slot in the small front tube, and also through the cut in the large cylinder. After that pulling the handle up ratchets the strap tighter. Once you have the desired tension, you put on a crimp and crimp it on both bands to hold them to each other. Now that they are done comes my favorite part... you push the handle all the way down and it cuts the strap and releases the clamp! It's So satisfying! I wasn't expecting it to cut the strap, so I am impressed... maybe they all work this way, I don't know I never had one before, and regardless, I'm still impressed.I also like that the band is on a reel that prevents it from all falling off sideways. I don't need to do this often enough to have a whole huge cart so having a self-contained reel is really great!This is a great kit, the tensioner / cutter tool works great, the crimpers work great, the strap material and crimps also work great! I am very happy with everything about this kit, and even the instructions were very helpful so I'm glad they included them.
