This is a nice thick screen wire with small openings. I used this to line the floor vents and outside vents in our RV to keep insects and mice from getting inside.

I bought this meshing to put over any exterior venting in my home such as attic venting, A/C Heating venting, and garage venting. I specifically bought this because of the 800 degree heat resistant and the mesh opening is so small that embers from a fire would not penetrate it. It is easy to cut with standard scissors. I used a staple gun to attach it to the would surrounding the attic venting. Note that because of the small openings, it is advisable to check it from time to time to be sure that it is kept clean...like you would your dryer vent. If this day and age of wildfires, this is a must.

I have not used this screen yet as it arrived damaged and I am waiting for the replacement to arrive. However, I did examine it and it is well made and uniform. (Who ships a roll of screen in an envelop?) #30 mesh is quite fine but will keep out many small bugs that #20 or larger screen may not. Of course the trade off is lower air flow.Over all a good product at a very reasonable price.

Just open this to motivate myself to start using it. On first inspection it feels really well made and durable. I’m not an expert or going to pretend that I can use the technical terms but for a guy who is not handy whatsoever, am fairly confident that this will work well for my simple home project.
