Much better quality than I expected! Arrived in beautiful shape. Like others have warned: the edges are EXTREMELY sharp! Be very careful! And wear good, thick gloves to protect yourself. You really do NOT want a nearly-microscopicly thin piece of stainless steel embedded in your hand.All in all, I can whole heartedly recommend this product.

I bought a carpet spot cleaner that sucks up dirt and tiny carpet fiber. After cleaning I can't just dump the dirty water with tiny carpet fibers and dirt in it into the basement sink or bathroom toilet to flush the water away, knowing the fibers and dirt might clog the sewer pipe, which would cause another huge headache to work out, so I bought this steel woven mesh to insert between the dirty water and the sink to capture all the carpet fibers and dirt. Miraculously, it worked. Water was able to flow through and all the fibers and dirt were trapped by the mesh. Another excellent purchase.

I had to make a stainless steel thimble for my Soxhlet extractor. I used a pvc pipe with waxed paper taped to the tube.. I wrapped the stainless steel screen around the pipe, applied food grade silicon between the overlap, and secured it with flexible beading wire. I have the glass thimble but the botanicals are much easier extracted through this screen. If you have trim trays, this wire is about the same grade as a trim tray and is extremely strong.

I like to have material like this around the house for various DIY projects. I have used this as part of a DIY water filtration system, it works very well for that purpose. I am impressed with this product and will likely be buying more in the future.

The wire mesh works exactly like I expected in that its an excellent filter for dirty water.However, I cut myself 3 times handling it, given the mesh is very thin and sharp.Recommend handling with gloves and covering the sides / corners of the wire mesh as soon as possible.
