The mount with a 310 VT insert worked perfectly for securing a 590 Shockwave in my Ranger, on trails so rough I wouldn’t want to ride them again anytime soon. I sent some pics to the seller and they provided a 300 O/U insert, thinking it would provide a better grip. They may be right. There's really only one convenient spot to "grab" and you want to make the most of it. I’m satisfied that either insert will do all I ask of it. The other thing I was able to do was angle the muzzle outward. Aside from the obvious advantage, the outward angle also makes the hold more secure. I thought I might have to “engineer†some sort of adapter for the cup but none is needed. The grip can’t slide forward and the gun can’t bounce up to dislodge it. It stays right were it’s supposed to be until you want it, and then a firm tug puts it in your hands. I like not having to bother with a strap or hook and loop contrivance, too. I chose the Gungrabber mount because it appeared to have the best design for securing this unique firearm in the UTV. After a couple of brutal test drives, I can tell you the firearm is 100% secure. No amount of bouncing changes anything when the gun is in the mount. And yet, insertion and removal are uncomplicated. I know this product was not designed with this particular firearm in mind, but it’s almost as if it was. Hats off to the Gungrabber team for a great product and great service after the sale!

Great for untraditional mounting spaces. Wish the upper mounts had an option where it was easier to mount to a roll bar etc. but it’s good for most applications. One things for sure, your guns barrel not coming out once it’s in. The rubber that holds it in place it’s very secure. Best mount I’ve used for the price. Very versatile!

You automatically loose 2 stars because it’s totally plastic! Considering it will be holding my $1,500. Rifle while I’m driving I feel it should be metal. I just bought a really nice vehicle fire extinguisher holder that was all metal for only $25. So price is no excuse. I’ll update this review after a few months to see if this plastic hold up.

For as much as this cost, I assumed it would be much stiffer and better made. Honestly, I am afraid I'll break it every time I try and put my rifle into the orange rubber which is very stiff rubber. The base or floor plate is nice. If this was half the cost I would be much happier but for almost $50 this isn't worth it for a chunk of plastic.
