I didn't want ribbon, I was able to use a rose gold eyelet to hold it all together the hole punch was very sharp and made things easy with locking in the depth. Rubber handle was comfortable, even with prolonged use. Magnetic tip helped with "loading" the eyelet onto the pliers. The tool was simple and made this step actually enjoyable.

This is probably a good hole punch and grommet press if the heaviest thing you're working with is card stock. The description says leather, shoes so here's my experience; the first hole I punched for additional lace eyelets in a shoe and the cast white metal of the hole punch snapped and broke off the tool. No big problem, I have a regular leather punch I'll just use this tool as a grommet press. I punch the three additional holes I needed with the regular leather punch. Then I got the first grommet set (BTW the grommets are too short so the backing plates don't work on a normal shoelace vamp) without the backing plate and pressed it with the tool and that part snapped off. To say this is some of the cheapest casting I've ever come across would be an understatement. Save your money.

Easy to use but found the product was hard to release after punching hole. Also recommended length moved/ shifted and didn’t notice when punching holes in the second bridal dress I was fixing since some of us couldn’t zip up the dress since we have larger chest. The cost to fix using this tool cost $15 . To get it tailored another girl spent twice the cost of the dress. So tool helped and not expensive fix just didn’t meet expectations since kept sticking and tool measurements moved and made the second dress holes uneven

This tool works well as long as you have split eyelets. It splits the shaft... it doesn't roll them. This means you get a sharp edge on the back.Nothing works as well as the old hammer method.

Spent a bit more than I wanted but thought it'll be worth it to have something quality but I was wrong. First time I used it it worked fine. Second time I used it, the metal top jaw part actually snapped in half. I didn't squeeze that hard I'm very disappointed I couldn't finish setting the grommet right so my $300 product I was building is a bit messed up now 😟

What I like best about it is that it has two precision ways to cut holes. The grip has an easy padded handle, very sturdy. Great craftsmanship great price point. What I don’t like is that it was kind of hard to understand the instructions. But I figured it out and I love love love love it I would recommend it.

It’s a nice looking and perfect size! Quality is very poor. I used it for the very first time in a tuna fish can. Made of thin tin. When I squeezed the handle the pressure broke the bottom piece where the blade comes against. I was very disappointed at the point. Put it in the packaging it came in and returned it the next day.
