We have a yellow lab and she leaves "presents" all over our big fenced in yard, usually in the walkways. This device made removal of large dog piles so easy. I carry around a little bucket to put them in before finding a place out in the woods around our house to dump them. We were so tired of stepping in a mess and then having to remove shoes and try to clean them Uggh! This is a great tool.

Sturdy and longer than most. good size bucket picks up quite a bit. Don't leave sitting on the ice. These are plastic!

At this point I am giving five stars, however, I am skeptical how it will last. The mechanism seems thin and I question the strength. Only time will tell. For now it is doing the job.

ok.. we have 2 golden Retrievers so plenty of waste to go around.. using reg scooper for yrs. this model picks it up but has problem holding anything small. doesn't connect evenly end to end at bottom like others. Has pointed teeth that small waste drops thru back on the ground. with the original scoop we would grab a pile, go to next pile and sort of open the scoop a bit overtop and let it drop onto the 2nd pile and close to pick up. rinse/lather/repeat. this one cannot do it because pieces of waste fall thru the open space between the pointed teeth. Now for those that will pick up 1 pile and put it in a bag or recepticle, I imagine it would be ok but if small dog with small pieces, still might be an issue.. xtra long was good idea and why I bought it but going back to original scooper...
