Two Strong & durable stainless steel springs control opening and closing of the scoop. They make sure the grab action goes quickly and smoothly. Once you release the green handgrip, the scoop will be closed immediately to prevent poop falling down.
The ergonomically designed handle provides comfortable and smooth one hand operation. Pull the green handgrip to open the scoop easily.
The wide-open large scoop enable it to pick up after medium and large dogs. The interlock fully closed claw prevent poop leaking through, even works great for loose stools.

Item is heavy duty and long enough that I don't have to bend to collect. Because it's new the handle pull is a little tight and works your hand muscle but I imagine it will loosen over time.

Perfect. Strong springs pick up poo even in tall grass and the length saves me from bending over too much. Highly recommend.

Upon first inspection this Pooper scooper appeared to be pretty well built with heavy plastic materials, substantial springs (plus replacement springs) and a longer advertised reach. At first it did a good job of picking up the dog's poop. After 2 weeks of use I noticed that the bottom jaws were no longer aligned and I have to keep pushing them back in place. The springs have already stretched, and we do not even use on a daily basis. Because the springs are stretching getting the stuff off of a dead (fall), and short cut lawn has not been easy. It takes several tries to get all of it up. Granted we have a small dog so the messes are smaller but this particular model just wore out too quickly. The reach is a tad too short but most of these longer reach models are the same length so on that issue there is nothing longer out there. No doubt the plastic is sturdy but without like springs it renders this useless far too early.
