8577274 Dryer Thermistor
The 8577274 Dryer Thermistor prevents the dryer from overheating by controlling the temperature inside of the dryer drum. Its resistance decreases as the dryer temperature increases. Once the resistance is at the maximum, the control panel will shut off the heat. Once the temperature decreases and the resistance increases, it will allow the control panel to turn on the heat for another cycle.

This kit had everything I needed and then some to cover a variety of models. No need to try and figure out which part went bad; just replace them all and start again with all new parts. Purchasing each part would have been quite expensive compared to this great value bundle. The old dryer is running like new.

Worked for us. We thought we only needed the heating element, but it turns out one of the fuses was damaged, too. So, I was thankful we had bought the set that included those, too. Removing the box the element goes into was a little tricky (well, putting it back was really the harder part), but this saved us a repair bill. We also bought an dryer exhaust fan (from Amazon) to help prevent a repeat of the element burning out.

Heating Element quit in our trusty old dryer on a Friday morning. Ordered new element Friday during my lunch break and literally received the element the following Tuesday morning. Took less than 10 min to replace after I watched a YouTube video. Not sure I can comment on the durability of this product as I just installed this item a couple months ago. Hoping to get a couple years of use out of it as this item was very cheap and easy to replace.

I only needed to replace the heating element but swapped out the limit that fit my application while at it. Easy replacement but had a hard time getting the old one out. It was slightly stuck and needed some hits with a dead blow hammer to get it started. Much better price than OEM and the heating element looked the same gauge wire. Hopefully it will last.

I stalked within an hour of receiving and my dryer works again. Also comes with all new thermal fuses and other sensors. Looks like for another model as well. Be sure to read what rating you need from the ones you take out.

Trash product doesn’t fit properly but got it to with a bit of extra force but after the fact our old heater core was super hot this one though it’s high setting is equivalent to being on the low setting on our old one I’m not returning due to not wanting to tare down my dryer again but a few months down the line I will be throwing away this trash when I have the time to install a new one.
