This is a mechanical brake lockout cap.Trailer Brake Lockout Cap commonly replaces caps A-60, A-75 and A-84 brake actuators. Outer Member Cap allows trailers equipped with drum or disc brakes to be backed up over soft ground or up inclines without fully engaging the brakes. Top Lockout Upgrade Cap is designed to disengage when the trailer is pulled forward after backing up.

This cover dressed the hole in trailer tongue nicely. However it can not take the strain of reversing our 24 foot boat and pops out of place.
